This week Mercury joins our sun in the sign of Pisces, the last sign of the zodiac, where our thoughts and communication deepen into the tides of compassion, forgiveness, unity and healing.

Mercury enters Pisces

The past two weeks have been a beautiful invitation to step into all that Pisces has to offer. Two days after the sun entered the water sign on February 18, we encountered a Pisces new moon. At the beginning of this new week, Mercury also moves into Pisces, where the sign’s invitations become more present in us, especially in our minds.

Pisces is the mystic of the zodiac. It’s compassion and it’s healing. It is unity and it is surrender. It is the sign that takes us deep into the ethereal, invites dreams and intuition, opens our hearts and awakens forgiveness. It represents the unseen, inside and out.

An abstract sign, Pisces is not linear, nor is it black or white. It’s every moment and every color at once. It is the inexplicable healing that takes place through presence, love, poetry and sound. It is the divinity in prayer and empathy that connects us.

Mercury represents our mind. It is our logical thinking and planning, our leftist perspective on life, the way we organize and express our words. As this intellectual and rational planet enters the non-linear realm of Pisces, she is encouraged to relax her boundaries and let her guard down a bit.

Pisces invites Mercury to bring compassion into our minds. It invites forgiveness in our perspective, both for the self and for the other. And it invites the art of surrender and giving in, where we don’t have to make every thought mean more than a fleeting moment or analyze and logically understand or tie our identity to it. It offers a solution of mental chatter and the calmness of knowing that our thoughts are not ours to identify with. Rather, they can float, in and out, and we can find compassion for their source, offer them love and release them back into the ethers.

Pisces is the sign furthest from the human self, the reality of the physical world, and the formation of identity within the structures around us. Mercury in Pisces isn’t necessarily rooted in the day-to-day concerns we live in — such as time, schedules, scheduling, transportation, and more — and can bring with it an air of fantasy and dreaminess that can feel far removed from the smaller movements and necessities of our lives. to dawn. This provides a less focused filter for the mind and potential for heightened imagination and intuition. Coming back to Earth and allowing structures such as to-do lists and calendar reminders will greatly support us where needed.

Your invitation

Your spirit is lifted into the realm of creativity, love and imagination. The combination of Mercury and Pisces calls for meditation and prayer, creative writing, and all the dreaming and visualizing you can fit into your days.

There is potential for great healing within Mercury in Pisces, healing that can only be found when you surrender to the constant fluctuations and in-and-outflow that is your mind. Untie your metaphorical hands and let it go.

This transit offers very intuitive perception and knowing. It’s a beautiful time to really lean on intuition, inner knowing and trusting your perception beyond logic. Guidance is available at any time. This week it offers eyes to see it and ears to hear it.

Your invitation is to offer yourself compassion. For every thought you notice and every moment you want to control, your invitation is to soften, marvel at the beauty that surrounds you in this world, and forgive yourself and others as best you can.

Your invitation is to dream of the desires waiting in your heart and to offer love to whatever mental construct you think are unrealistic, unattainable or too good for you.

Your invitation is to connect with something beyond logic and rational understanding, whether that be the existence of love, the whispers found only in silence, or the lightness that floats through you as you indulging in meditation, your yoga practice, or music.
